Vote For Al Gore!

Yes, that's right I said vote for Al Gore!

Mr. Gore, international eco-superstar, Nobel prize winner, and popularly elected U.S. President #43 (yet to serve) could still enter the 2008 Presidential race!

I don't know about you but I don't think anything will be right with America until Mr. Gore gets to serve his duly elected office.

It's been seven long, terrible, deadly years since this right-wing nightmare started. I believe, I really do, that Gore is the one person who can truly end it. Many of the current Democratic Presidential candidates are just fine, all of them would be a vast, VAST improvement over Mr. Bush. But I'm not nearly ready to settle yet again for second best.

If you feel the same, let Al Gore know that you want him to run by going to THIS LINK, add his name into the "OTHER" category, and then vote for him. (Note: Gore is currently winning this poll by a big margin!)

My dream ticket is Gore/Obama 2008, how about you?

Back From the Road, Action Item!

I've just returned from a two week trip to ArtCar World in Douglas, AZ. As was the case both other times that I visited there it was FABULOUS! I love traveling with my ArtCar buddies, visiting kids at schools and foster care locations, and helping to spread the joy that this unique art form brings. More on the trip, photos, etc. coming after I get the laundry started!

North to Alaska

I don't believe I've ever been busier but it's all fun and exciting. I'll try to catch you up a bit before I head out in two days for my next adventure.

Last year I started thinking about how I wanted to celebrate my upcoming 50th birthday (OMG I know....can't believe I have lived almost 1/2 a century.) I've always wanted to take a cruise somewhere but I don't really like hot places. I studied geology and found glaciers fascinating so putting it all together I decided I'd like to take a cruise to Alaska. I also wanted to see the glaciers before they melt away. Let me just say, this was the BEST vacation we've ever taken!

I reserved us a stateroom with a balcony (worth every penny) on the Dawn Princess. It cruises round trip from San Francisco to Alaska (7 or 10 days) from May to September. So a mere 2 weeks before I had to lead the ArtCar Fest we headed out on our Northern adventure.

Ken took so many excellent photos that he's still sorting them (and now he's also sorting the 1300 photos he took during ArtCar Fest.) He's slowly posting them on his Flickr site so keep checking back to see what "develops". He's truly a wonderful photographer!

Here is a link to the Alaska set of photos but it's not finished so check back in a few weeks to see what he's added if you're interested.

You can see all of Ken's photos (ArtCars, travel, urban enviroments, strange signs, etc. by clicking on his name under any of the photos above.)
